Let’s talk about the story of this project. In November 2023, the client contacted us through the case sharing platform. At that time, the designer happened to be accompanying another client to complete the board erection procedures in a bungalow in the same community; after a brief communication, it was agreed upon. During the meeting, the designer briefly communicated the design ideas and determined the design intention at that time. It took less than half an hour from the first meeting to the confirmation of the design intention. It started smoothly. Of course, in the words of the client later, everything went smoothly;

How to make a compact and traditional three-bedroom apartment feel leisurely and cozy, which not only needs to accommodate the rigid functional needs of the host and hostess, two cats and one dog, but also meets the spiritual world that can be extended infinitely; this is what the designer needs to achieve immediately.

Cold concrete originally lacks the ability to express emotions, but with the designer’s ingenuity, the space has acquired a unique way of expression. Through the selection of materials, the presentation of textures, the matching of colors and the design of layout, every detail tells the warmth and beauty of the space.

The designer abandoned the pursuit of gorgeousness and instead took the beauty of nature as inspiration, integrating the warmth of living into every design. There are no cumbersome decorations and no deliberately ostentatious focus. The focus is on the emotion of home, quietly providing strength and comfort to the residents.

There is no need to consider the problem of children and the elderly living together in the future, so maximize the experience of the two-person world; change the three-bedroom to two-bedroom, turn a small bedroom into a home space, change the original bathroom door opening direction, and integrate it with the housekeeping space The integration of each other makes storage, washing, and housekeeping more convenient. The bathroom window is removed and a boiler is installed, and the side lighting of the housekeeping area is used to supply the bathroom. Part of the original balcony is given to the second bedroom, and the second bedroom becomes a multi-functional area in an instant, leaving more space for the future, which can be a parent-child space, a guest space, a fitness and entertainment space, or a children’s room that suddenly arrives in the future.
