Disadvantages of the original apartment
- The 208m2 large flat has a very depressing entrance and overall style, and is not transparent from north to south.
- The space is compact, some functional divisions are not obvious, there is no fixed dining area, the bedroom is small and has no storage; the secondary bathroom is too small.
- The equipment capacity is not enough, and the fire protection is not beautiful.
A transformation that serves the purpose of “not compromising” began, transforming the same old fine-decorated houses into a unique “NO.1”.
Solution
- The scene narrative creates a warm, natural and pure home atmosphere to fulfill the homeowner’s future vision of the new home space.
- The vertical movement lines and functional distribution of the entire space are re-processed to make the space as practical, beautiful and spiritually enjoyable as possible.
- The space partition and north-south transparent flow problems are solved by adjusting the distribution of the entrance shoe cabinet, bedroom and bathroom.
Enriching the inner space
Turning a restaurant from “nothing” to “something”
The large flat with a first-line lake view actually doesn’t even have a fixed restaurant area; the designer used only one trick to make the house transparent from north to south while taking into account the restaurant function. It is said that the inverted dining table is a standard feature of luxury homes. With acrylic table legs, it has a sense of suspension, fun and high-end, and is really convenient for showing off hot pot at home.
The invisible door that goes all the way to the ceiling can really confuse people’s eyes, making the public bathroom door and the bedroom doors “invisible”, thus achieving harmony and mystery with the entire space; there is no main light in the whole house, creating a minimalist atmosphere of customization and high-end feeling!
“The geometric three-dimensional sense of space brought by the balance of lines and surfaces”
The black magnetic track lights and air-conditioning vents are used as space embellishments. The rich layers enhance the quality of the space. The suspended TV background wall is matched with the embedded TV to make the space more harmonious and unified!
“The integration of space and soft furnishings”
The Edra rock sofa, which makes the space flexible and changeable, makes the LDK space temperament fully play out; with the rock coffee table and Groovy chair M chair, the artistic temperament of the entire space is sublimated.

The balconies on both sides are connected and merged into the living and dining room space, making the space more transparent; squeeze the space to the extreme, change the area of the washing machine and dryer originally placed on one balcony to the equipment room area, and then use the original area as storage; who said that minimalist style has less storage?

“Reborn the cold and dull original space”
The original dull space of cold gray tiles + dark wood cabinets was changed by the high-end temperament and soft furnishings of warm wood color and micro-cement, which just neutralized the ideal state.

The style of the original bathroom was quite old; so it was completely demolished and changed into a micro-cement integrated washbasin that is integrated with the wall, floor and ceiling, with a hidden faucet, toilet, shower and a frosted Changhong glass shower room, which is full of high-end feeling.
Details make the home more comfortable to live in.
The area of the secondary bathroom, which was originally difficult to turn around, was expanded, and the position of the doorway was changed, so that the bathroom, which was originally difficult to turn around and was oppressive, can be completely separated into dry and wet areas and open.
Create a serious atmosphere of relaxation
Sleeping should be an extremely serious matter. One-third of life is spent in the bedroom; especially during this period of time when everyone is staying at home for epidemic prevention, it is so important to fully experience how important it is to have a bedroom that allows us to relax every minute!
The master bedroom is very small, and the soft cushion on the wall above the bed makes the already small space seem even smaller, so we made the space whole. We used an integrated floating design for the bedside table, which invisibly increased the lightness of the space! This design not only solves the sanitary dead corners caused by traditional bedside tables, but also solves the congestion caused by narrow aisles.
One of the reasons why people like large flats is that it can support the design of large bedroom suites and large dressing rooms; but the dressing room in front of them is not even as big as the wardrobe, and the practicality of the desk is even more of a mystery; so they demolished it all, and the dressing room that originally had two sets of small cabinets became a room large enough to accommodate the empire they had built.
For children, the functional design of the children’s room can help them develop good habits!
Therefore, a desk is a rigid need for children’s growth. The floating desk at the limit of space is combined with the upper wall cabinet. The designer has mastered the space. The partial hollowing and glass selection can make people feel the order and joy of learning across the screen!
It is the ideal of every girl to have her own cloakroom, so the habits of daughters who are raised in wealth are cultivated from an early age. So the small bathroom was abandoned and made into a cloakroom to solve the problem of no cabinets in the room.

What are you most satisfied with about this work and why?
The layout of the renovation allows the lake view of Meixi Lake to be incorporated into the interior space; a space that was very depressing when entering the door has become transparent from north to south. From the entrance, you will find a big change. The 360-degree panoramic view of Meixi Lake that can be seen indoors is very “healing” with the interior style!
What is the biggest challenge encountered during the entire renovation design?
This is a project from design to all soft furnishings. The biggest challenge is that the original structure is basically load-bearing walls and all supporting services can be coordinated and kept up in such a short time, and the delivery is completed on schedule based on the need to constantly control the budget;
Looking back at this house, are there any regrets in the design?
In general, there are no regrets in the design, but due to the rush of post-shooting, many interesting angles were not taken. The customers who came to the site said that the real scene is better than the photos!
In order to meet the personalized needs of customers, what did you do during the design process?
- In order to make the space more personalized, a stone texture coffee table was selected, but the weight of the stone was too heavy. First, I was worried that the floor would not bear enough weight, and second, the elevator could not bear it. So I asked a friend to start the process of modeling and shaping again and again. Due to the weather and the epidemic at the end of the year, it took several times to come up with this finished product on site;
- In order to achieve the ideal effect of the customer, the custom-made sink that had been installed in the kitchen was dismantled bit by bit and replaced with a five-digit sink purchased by the owner. From dismantling to installation, it was thrilling and thrilling, for fear of damaging the cabinet countertop of the rock board.
